Fair use
A subscription covers up to 600 answers a month. That is about twenty a day, every day — far more than anyone we have seen actually uses. The cap exists so that one unusual account cannot slow the service down for everyone else. If you get close to it, we will tell you in the chat before anything stops, and you can email us.
Cancelling, renewals and the cooling-off period
Subscriptions renew automatically — monthly plans every month, yearly plans every year — until you cancel. Cancel from your account page or by email; it takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep access until then. Under section 44 of South Africa’s Electronic Communications and Transactions Act you may also cancel your first payment within 7 days without giving a reason. See refunds and cancellations.
Payment questions
Which cards can I use?
Visa and Mastercard, including most South African debit cards, through Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe — they never touch our servers.
Will I be charged automatically?
Yes. The plan renews on the same date each month or each year until you cancel. We email you before a yearly renewal.
How do I cancel?
Open your account page and choose Cancel subscription, or email us. There is no phone queue and no retention script.
Can I get a refund?
Within 7 days of your first payment, yes — no reason needed. After that we look at each request on its merits. See refunds and cancellations.
What happens when I use up the free answers?
Nothing is deleted. You will see a note in the chat with the two plans, and your conversation stays exactly where you left it.
